TURN ON TUNE IN DROP OUT
A series of three stools in metal with the seating area made out of shoe-laces. It took about 50 laces for each stool. The different leg combination of the stools illustrates (if you want) Timothy Leary's classic phrase "Turn on Tune in Drop out".

BELL
Room divider/ Cord collector. The idea was born out of the problem we have with cords. It is not so good looking having lying around chucked away under or behind something. So we brought out the most obvious. This was also made at the time when we were playing around with size, what happens with an object when it is enlarged. We imagine this would look great in big office landscapes.

We wanted to do a remix of an old classic. We finaly decided to make a disco remix of the famous Arco floor lamp designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1962.

FURNITURE: PING PONG TABLE

PING PONG TABLE
This coffeetable was hand glued by DFTS. It is made out of 1292 ping pong-balls and lots of superglue. We wanted to explore what a pice of furniture would look like if it was made out of 100% round components, would it be useable? We choosed ping pong balls mainly because they were the right size and of the extremely low weight. It would be great to actualy do a whole set of furnitures with some groundbreaking space-material in this way.

A table named after the leader of the legendary TMNT crew, a lounge table for ninjas if you will. 100% hand made of mdf board with a high glossy finish and with traditional sais (Raphaels weapon of choice) used as legs.

ACADEMY
Lamp made out of a metal frame and five shooting range targets. The idea was that it would be an interresting way for people to make their personal pattern depending on how bad they were at aiming and therefore affecting the design. The different calibres, type of weapon, distance to target etc, would also affect the outcome of the design.

Table lamp in metal and three sets of headphones. This lamp was designed for our exhibition Extreme Indoor Living. This lamp and the slipmat-carpet were the first furniture designed by DFTS.
